The hazards of button-up dresses

By Meg | October 11, 2007

Just a reminder, if you wear a button-up dress, please make sure to wear a slip underneath and to check to make sure that the lowest button is at a modest length. I saw a girl today in a button-up shirt dress. When she stood still, it was fine, but the moment that she started walking there were gaps everywhere and the slit below the bottom button was enough to give quite a view.

Every button-up item Miss J owns- be it dress or blouse- has at least one hidden safety safety pin at the bust. Miss J has the big bosoms. And slips- Always. Miss J is Old School.

I must be “old school” with you Miss Janey because slips and camisoles are staples of my wardrobe.

Even after a reduction, I still have a rather ample bosom.

I often just sew the dress up if I don’t need to undo the buttons to get it on. Works well for stretch material.

That’s a great idea!

Meg, this tip is what I call “helping people”. You’ve done a good deed and it should carry you for at least a week or two! :o) Let’s watch the gaps ladies. So not attractive! And know that someone, say a blogger, may be watching and waiting, camera in hand! LOL

I can only hope that one of the gap ladies reads this.

They’re very lucky that I don’t take a camera. It would definitely make for interesting blog posts, but I’m a bit nervous about becoming “that girl with the camera”.

Nice job, Meg. This is a great PSA for the gap ladies!

Meg, you make a great point about the camera. I totally feel like a stalker when I’m snapping pics. But using my cell phone camera makes it a lot easier and less creepy! lol

That’s a good idea ;)
