Before You Put That On

If you’re looking for loads of fashion advice, I highly recommend Before You Put That On: 365 Daily Style Tips for Her by Lloyd Boston. There are 368 pages of great inspiration and advice. Whereas some books focus more on photos, this one is mostly text, but it’s full of substance and well-written.
While there is a lot to read, it is fortunately broken up into daily readings which makes it a lot less intimidating. You might call it a paper blog. Of course, nothing says you can’t skip ahead in the book. My only significant criticism is that it’s lacking a good index. With a good index, you could almost use this book as an encyclopedia of style. Fortunately, the sections are clearly labeled in the table of contents.
This book would make a fun read, useful reference book, or a great gift. I highly recommend it.
