A tip about denim colors
By Meg | June 8, 2007
Dark blue jeans look dressier and are more slimming than lighter washes. They are also more versatile than black jeans and look less dated. Wear dress pants when you want to wear black pants. When you are buying a basic pair of jeans that needs to be versatile, if in doubt, buy the darkest blue jeans you can find with little or no decoration and no lightened areas. If your jeans do have decoration or lightened areas, make sure that they are not on places that you don’t want to bring attention to. And if you do want to bring attention to your butt, do it with well cut snug jeans and nice pocket design - not with a drastically lightened area. When my husband first saw that style, he said that it reminded him of baboon butts. I have to agree.
