Judgements
By Meg | May 15, 2007
While we are all told not to judge others based on their appearances, the truth is that we do. For example, we form different impressions of people based on whether they show up to a job interview wearing a nice suit or a tank top. The trick is, of course, to take time to realize what judgements we are making and why. In doing so, we can also figure out how others might be judging us and - if we desire - adjust our own appearances, whether it be how we dress or act or talk.
Many people say that they do not care how they look even though they do. It’s just that they do not think that they have the time, energy, motivation, money, or knowledge to give themselves a makeover. The truth is that there are many small adjustments that can be made that make a huge differences. I’ll be going into small changes (and large ones, too) in upcoming blogs. In the meantime, though, there is an excellent and pertinent post on What Every Woman Needs in Her Closet entitled The Mall and the SAHM (i.e. Stay at Home Mom).
