I’ve been tagged… again
By Meg | December 13, 2007
Icy over at Individual Chic has tagged me to provide 8 random things about myself. I’ve already disclosed some juicy tidbits when I was tagged the first time by The Cheap Chica back in August, but that was only to provide 7 things. This might be hard.
The rules are:
- Link back to whomever tagged you.
- Post these guidelines before your list.
- After you list your eight things, tag eight (of however many you want) other bloggers
Well, here it goes…
- Like Icy and Deja Pseu, I prefer Picard to Kirk (though Shatner is awesome in Boston Legal). I was a loyal fan of Star Trek: TNG growing up and my husband and I later bonded over Star Trek: Voyager since he didn’t have cable at the time.
- My husband and I demo’d our den recently, sort of on a whim. Now we’re turning it into a new kitchen and dining area, complete with a walk-in pantry. We’re finalizing our cabinet choices this week. Fortunately, we still have a living room, but we’re expanding that into the current tiny kitchen.
- I sing soprano, second soprano at the moment. This semester I joined chorus at one of the local colleges. It’s the first time I’ve sung in public since middle school, but I’m having fun. Two of my alto friends and I broke out into Carol of the Bells at a sushi place and got applause.
- I’m also playing lead alto in the college jazz ensemble. The interesting part is that it’s the first time I’ve played alto in a band. I’m normally a tenor (or even bari) gal, though I also play soprano sax.
- Even though I’m in my mid-20’s, my father fought at Normandy in WWII, and took some shrapnel with him. Yes, I was a late in lifer. There’s over a 15 year difference between me and my youngest brother, and about 30 years between my oldest brother and I.
- Earlier this year, I was planning to explore computational linguistics as a career and work towards getting my masters in that field. I still plan to at least take some courses in programming for the web, but right now I love working at The Bargain Queen so much that I’m hoping that I can make a career out of writing and maybe even become an editor some day.
- I’m mentioned on Wikipedia.
- Did I mention that I have four cats? O.k., I did previously, but you didn’t know that our Sunshine actually seems to like having her nails clipped? She just lays there, belly up, legs sticking up and out, purring. I think it reflects well on my husband and I that at least one of our cats is that comfortable with us. Felix is also pretty patient about getting his nails clipped. The two others put up more of a fight, though. I have a scratch on my arm right now to prove it.
Now, I tag:
- Life of a Valley Girl
- Confessions of a Housewife
- Dramatis Personae
- The Thoughtful Dresser
- The Space Between My Peers
- Fabulously Broke in the City
- The Wardrobe Miser
- What I Wore Today
- And anyone else on my blog roll who wants to play along!
I’m also tagging Timika at Kyesi Women’s Budget Fashion Buyers Guide again. Yes, I saw that you just responded to the first one I sent you — and we’ve got a lot in common. Something is wrong with your site so that I can’t leave comments, though. Anyhow, I’m curious to see if we have anything else in common : )

Hey, you’re in Wikipedia? Cool!
I will have to pass on this Meme…I just did one today, and am afraid of driving my readers away with Me overkill. =) Thanks for thinking of me, though!

Understandable and you’re welcome! Keep it in mind, though, when if you ever get writer’s block — not that I see that happening ; )
Yep, Wikipedia — and I didn’t put me there, though I do edit a bit here and there.
