Back to school
By Meg | August 24, 2007
It’s back to school time again for kids and college students. Whatever age you might be, make sure you make a good impression with your teachers and classmates by dressing appropriately. If you’ve already gone back to school, it’s not too late to adjust your style. Even after your first impression, there’s plenty of time for you to change that impression for better or worse, so keep up the good work. Dressing in sweats may be comfortable but your teacher might feel like that you don’t take the class seriously. You might want to show some skin to grab attention, but do it in moderation. It’s distracting and doesn’t give the right impression to your teachers, either. There are plenty of class appropriate ways to get attention. Let your personality shine and save the slinky outfits for after school dates.
As for me, I’ve gone ahead and applied for college. I already have a degree, so I’m just taking a couple fun classes to spend time with friends, meet new people, and explore my talents. Assuming everything gets approved in time, I start classes next week. Going back to school feels a bit weird, but I’ve already met the teacher, so I’m a lot less nervous then I was.
Best of luck to all the students out there!
