A new focus for the New Year

By Meg | December 24, 2007

In case you haven’t noticed, there’s been a small change on the blog. Under the title there is a new tagline: “High class, low cost”. It’s just a sign of things to come, though.

When I started this blog, I knew that I didn’t want it to be just another fashion or beauty blog — despite the name “All About Appearances”. I started out with the rather vague tagline “Make the impression you want”, but have been wanting to come up with something less vague that would better describe what I want to write about here.

While I love shopping, finding ways to save money is my other hobby (and the one that enables the shopping). Recent circumstances have had me finding more ways to stretch dollars, and I even thought about creating another blog to talk about the topic — in addition to what I write here and at The Bargain Queens. However, I realized that I already have the perfect place to talk about getting more from money: right here.

So, I hope you don’t mind if I share some tips on saving money and doing more for less, while still telling you how to make the right impression. After all, they don’t have to know what you paid for the look or how much you make — unless you want to tell them.

Check out more on the new philosophy behind the blog on the updated About page.
